Composite breast augmentation, also known as LipoImplant Augmentation, is a radical new technique for breast enhancement. At the Weston Center for Plastic Surgery, board-certified plastic surgeon Nathan Eberle, M.D., D.D.S., is proud to offer composite breast augmentation to the residents of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County, Florida. This remarkable procedure can improve your breast contour, whether you have undergone previous breast enhancement surgery before or are considering doing so for the first time.
You could be an ideal candidate for breast enhancement with LipoImplant Augmentation if:
You desire a procedure and results customized uniquely to you.
You do not have enough breast tissue to cover an implant.
You want increased fullness in the upper part of the breast in order to obtain maximum cleavage.
Your breasts are asymmetric and/or narrow.
Your breast size or shape has changed since having your original implant surgery.
WHAT IS COMPOSITE BREAST AUGMENTATION?
Composite breast augmentation is a breast enhancement surgery that uses both the placement of breast implants as well as fat grafting to create a superior shaped breast that neither modality could provide on its own. The majority of the breast’s volume comes from the use of the implant, but the use of fat grafting at the same time allows Dr. Eberle to make the breast look and feel more natural with better concealment of the implant.
ADVANTAGES OF COMPOSITE BREAST AUGMENTATION
A concern of most women who choose to undergo breast augmentation is that the breast implant is properly concealed (i.e. you cannot see the edge of the implant). Even with sub-muscular placement of the implant, where the majority of the implant is covered by the muscle, an abnormal or rippled appearance can result if the patient does not have enough breast tissue. This occurs more commonly with saline implants. LipoImplant Augmentation is designed to allow Dr. Eberle to cover the implant with the patient’s own body fat, harvested from elsewhere on their body.
Sometimes, the shape or placement of a woman’s natural breasts does not allow for fullness in the upper part of the breasts, or cleavage, even with the implants in place. LipoImplant Augmentation uses grafted fat to create the fullness and cleavage that would be lacking otherwise.
Over time, breast implants have the opposite impact than what was intended as they will actually constrict your natural breast tissue. Even if you have enough breast tissue at the time of implant placement, you may find, sometime later, that your breast tissue overlying the implant has thinned. LipoImplant Augmentation can restore your original breast augmentation results to their previous contour and size.
Fat grafting is also useful when the size and shape of the breasts need to be fine-tuned to correct asymmetry between the breasts, which is not easily achieved with implants alone.
Finally, fat grafting helps Dr. Eberle to tailor the procedure and your breast shape uniquely to your body to ensure the most natural and ideal results possible.
RECOVERY FROM COMPOSITE BREAST AUGMENTATION
In general, two to three days of recovery time are what is needed after undergoing breast augmentation surgery. The majority of patients are able to return to work only a few days following surgery, however, every patient is different.
HOW MUCH DOES COMPOSITE BREAST AUGMENTATION COST?
The exact price of your composite breast augmentation will not be known until your consultation with Dr. Eberle. Financing is available.
