Arm Lift surgery, also known
as brachioplasty, is a procedure used to lift
and tighten the skin in the upper arm. Over time,
the skin changes in four ways: it loses thickness,
loses elasticity, loses adherence to the underlying
tissue, and is affected by gravity. Age and excess
weight loss can lead to arms appearing loose and
flabby, making a person feel unattractive and
self-conscious in sleeveless clothing. A reduction
or elimination of excess skin from the upper arms
to make the area appear more contoured and firm
is the intended result of an upper arm lift.
